CDPHE has released updated guidance on eligibility for booster doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Booster doses may be administered at least 6 months after completing the first two doses of Pfizer vaccine. When the Moderna vaccine is approved for expanded use as a booster,  we will update our eligibility information to conform to the new criteria.

You should get a booster dose of Pfizer if:

• You are 65 years old or older, and received the Pfizer vaccine for your first two doses.
• You live in a long-term care facility and received the Pfizer vaccine for your first two doses.
• You are 50 to 64 years old, at high risk of severe COVID-19 due to certain underlying medical conditions and received the Pfizer vaccine for your first two doses.

You may get a booster dose of Pfizer if:

• You are 18 to 49 years old, at high risk of severe COVID-19 due to certain underlying medical conditions and received the Pfizer vaccine for your first two doses. 
• You are 18 to 64 years old, at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting, including but not limited to teachers, factory workers, retail workers, restaurant workers, health care workers, and first responders, and received the Pfizer vaccine for your first two doses.
