Hello Creede,

We have been receiving a number of calls this morning with questions on what to do if someone develops COVID-19 symptoms who was exposed to a known positive case through the current outbreak at the Creede School. All parents, faculty, and staff should have received the information below via email, but we are sharing it again here with the hopes of answering any questions people may still have.

For the Testing Flyer, Registration form, and the full content of Creede School's letter to parents, guardians, and staff, please follow this link:

Below is an excerpt from the Creede School District letter summarizing details about when and how to quarantine.

As a reminder to CSD students and families, if your child(ren) is in one of the following grades, they are a direct contact with someone that tested positive for COVID-19:

2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades

If your student is in one of the grades listed above the recommendation from public health is that they quarantine. However, the rest of your family does not need to quarantine unless:

  • Your child who was a direct contact begins to experience symptoms of COVID-19, or
  • Any member of your household begins to experience symptoms of COVID-19.

If anyone in your household begins experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please quarantine, and come to CSD on Monday, March 8th between 10 am and 1 pm for testing. Symptoms of COVID-19 can include one or more of the following: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
